Temporary Works Supervisor required for long term framework project in Cumbria.

As Temp Works supervisor you be responsible for Preparing, reviewing and managing the Temporary works Register, design approvals and ensuring the Temp Works are installed and inspected to provide safe systems of work throughout the construction programme

The projects will involve a series of large scale refurbishment projects to create new storage facilitys, labs and office space.

Key Responsibilities will include:

• Liaise with TW designer to ensure TWD is suitable for the activity planned.
• Ensure there is an up-to-date TW management plan that is reviewed and submitted 6 monthly, ensure latest guidance from the HSE in regards to CDM changes and BS5975 updates
• Confirm and organize appointments of and TWS ensuring the clients appointment process is followed
• Ensure the TW register is being managed and carry out sample checks each month before it is uploaded to TC for client approval
• Review and be familiar with all upcoming work (by involvement with project planning meetings, reviewing Lift Plans, earthworks supports, falsework and Risk Assessment Method Statements (RAMS) to confirm that all temporary works and temporary conditions of permanent works have been identified, and that all temporary work is properly designed and planned for

Key requirements
• Civil or Structural Engineering Qualification, minimum of an HNC/HND, preferably BEng or higher (MEng, MSc).
• Extensive TWC experience below and above ground.
• CSCS Card
• CITB Temporary Works Coordinator Course
• Completed SMSTS
• Understanding and application of BS5975:2008+A1:2011/2019.
Thorough understanding and application of the CDM Regulations 2015

Key Tasks:

• Checking all designs are correct for the activity
• Make sure the correct site procedures are being followed for the management of TWs this including the approval process .
• Lead weekly client TW coordination meetings
• be the key contact for all TW matters between client and other framework contractors.
• Ensure design brief is completed on time by consultants
• Liase with internal Design teams of any temporary conditions or loads that are to be considered in the permanent works design
• Oversee Design Risk Assessments
• Carry out site inspections of live TW
