Experienced Social Value Manager required covering projects in the North East. This is a 12 month fixed term Maternity Cover so will be paid either via a weekly timesheet or on a Fixed term contract PAYE direct with the client.

Working for a national construction main contractor, you will be involved and responsible for overseeing all aspects of Social Value and community engagement for your designated projects,
This will include community consultation and engagement, liaising with local stakeholders, organising and managing educational engagement opportunities, supply chain upskilling, local procurement activities and managing social value campaigns.

The role responsibilities include :
• Developing Social Value and community engagement programmes, and managing their successful delivery, on assigned projects.
• Represents the projects at local events, external groups or industry seminars.
• Liaising with external stakeholders on Social Value and community engagement issues.
• Provide support and education to supply chain members to ensure Social Value targets and requirements are realised.
• Reporting performance and sharing best practice on Social Value performance.

You will be passionate about your local community and have a drive to make a positive impact locally.

experience required:
• a track record of delivering Social Value initiatives, preferably in a construction organisation.
• excellent understanding of client social value requirements and drivers, including both public and private sectors.
• in-depth knowledge of local authority Social Value requirements.
• experience and understanding of national Social Value frameworks and measurement mechanisms.
• excellent interpersonal skills.
