We are a leading construction company specializing in infrastructure projects across the country. Currently, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Site Manager to join our team for a 10-week freelance assignment. The project is based in Sellafield and involves a prestigious national highways scheme. Duration: 10 weeks

Job Responsibilities:
As a Site Manager, your primary responsibility will be to oversee the successful execution and completion of the national highways scheme. You will play a vital role in ensuring the project is delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with health and safety regulations. Key responsibilities include:

Supervising and coordinating all construction activities on site, including subcontractors and suppliers.
Managing the project schedule and ensuring progress is on track to meet deadlines.
Monitoring quality control and ensuring adherence to specifications and standards.
Implementing and enforcing health and safety protocols to create a safe working environment.
Collaborating with the project team, including engineers, architects, and consultants, to resolve any technical issues that may arise.
Conducting regular site inspections and maintaining accurate documentation, including progress reports, site diaries, and risk assessments.
Managing site resources efficiently, including materials, equipment, and labor.
Liaising with stakeholders, such as clients, local authorities, and utility companies, to ensure smooth project execution.

Requirements:

Proven experience as a Site Manager in the construction industry, ideally with experience in national highways projects.
Strong knowledge of construction processes, techniques, and health and safety regulations.
Excellent leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse team.
Demonstrated ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
Effective problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a proactive approach to overcoming challenges.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels.
Proficient computer skills, including MS Office and project management software.
Valid construction-related certifications and qualifications.
