Site Manager - Civil Engineering (Hydroelectric Dam Repairs)

Rate: £425-£475 per day (Ltd)
Contract Length: Immediate Start 5-6 weeks (with potential for extension)

Overview
We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee reinforced concrete repair works on a hydroelectric dam in Scotland. This is a short-term contract with a reputable construction management team, offering competitive day rates and the opportunity to work on a high-impact energy infrastructure project.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate subcontractors carrying out reinforced concrete repairs.
• Ensure works are delivered safely, on time, and to specification.
• Manage site logistics, access, and daily operations.
• Monitor quality assurance and compliance with health & safety regulations.
• Liaise with the Construction Manager and other stakeholders to report progress and resolve issues.
• Maintain accurate site records and daily reports.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Site Manager on civil engineering projects, ideally involving concrete structures or dam infrastructure.
• Strong understanding of reinforced concrete repair techniques and relevant standards.
• SMSTS or SSSTS certification.
• Valid CSCS card.
• First Aid at Work certification (preferred).
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple subcontractor teams.
