Site Engineer required for 32 week contract based on a large project in Crewe.

The project is due to commence in March, for a period of 32 weeks. The build will be a large new build industrial unit valued at £20m. You will be on site from the first day on site and will be required for the entirety of the project. Your initial responsibility will overseeing the earthworks contractors, so anty recent experience in this would be an advantage.

You will be working for the main contractor as part of their management team which will include a PM and a senior site manager, who is an ex site engineer so you will be well supported.

Your role as site engineer you will be required to set out the initial footprint and pinpoint the control points. You will act in a QA capacity checking key-subcontractors work and providing technical expertise to the management team and design functions.

Equipment will be provided but we are happy to supply an engineer who provides their own equipment.

Recent experience of working on large industrial units or Regional distribution centres will be a definate advantage. The program is very fast paced so it will be an advantage if you have worked on fast build programmes previously.

The succesful candidate will join a great site team, working for a very stable medium sized main contractor.
