Role Overview:
Our client are looking for an experienced Plant Fitter to join their Essex based team. The position has the potential to advance into a management role they would be particularly keen to hear from individuals with an appetite to progress into a leadership position.

Background:
The ideal candidate would be somebody who has had experience working for a piling contractor and who is knowledgeable on Soilmec rigs, although people with experience on different types of piling rigs will be given strong consideration.
However, individuals from a groundworks/agricultural plant background would also be considered.
In addition to the construction plant, there are three lorries and approximately twenty vans run by the company.
The successful candidate will require excellent organisational and communication skills in order to maintain the machines in line with current legislation. Importantly, they will have good electrical, mechanical and hydraulic knowledge.

Duties:
• The role involves working alongside our existing workshop team, carrying out routine maintenance and repairs to the piling plant.
• The maintenance and repairs are carried both in the workshop and on site.
• Sites are usually based across the South East and therefore the role will also involve covering site breakdowns and maintenance. A van will be provided for this purpose along with a fuel card and paid travelling time (door to door).
• Knowledge of diesel engines and hydraulics is essential.
• Reporting to our Contracts Director, you would be assisted by welders and fitters within the team as well as those in their supply chain.

About the Company:
Established over 40 years ago, our client predominantly carries out CFA and Rotary piling for high rise accommodation, general housing and commercial plots.
In addition to this, they occasionally carry out Mini, Driven and Geothermal Piling.
Their construction fleet comprises 11 piling rigs, a dumper, working platforms and concrete holding drums.
