Senior Mechanical Project Manager
Location: Surrey - On-site - 5 days a week

Reporting to: Projects Director

Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Senior Mechanical Project Manager to oversee and drive mechanical service projects on a large campus property. The ideal candidate will exhibit expertise in managing complex projects, ensuring adherence to quality standards, and fostering strong stakeholder relationships. This role demands a meticulous approach to project delivery, financial acumen, and a commitment to upholding safety and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Obtain or qualify for SC security clearance as a mandatory prerequisite.
Collaborate with the Customer Forward Maintenance Team, Customer Technical Team, and FM Project Team to facilitate seamless project execution.
Act as a subject matter expert in mechanical services project delivery, encompassing boilers, chillers, AHUs, lab extract systems, steam distribution, and refrigeration.
Work closely with Site Managers, FM Managers, Stakeholders, Designers, and Suppliers to fulfill client identified project works.
Assemble and manage professional service support and construction delivery teams to meet annual project programs.
Ensure project implementation aligns with Operational Process Framework and adheres to project Standards.
Take responsibility for Health & Safety and CDM compliance on relevant projects.
Manage project finances, including P&L reporting, and oversee procurement processes.
Foster team development and provide mentoring support.
Qualifications & Experience:

15-20 years of Project Management experience in a Mechanical discipline, preferably as a Tier 2 supplier.
Degree, HND, or equivalent technical education required, with additional qualifications in project management (e.g., RICS or APM) preferred.
Proficiency in project management tools and IT systems, including Microsoft Projects and Windows.
Familiarity with Government Contract Administration tools such as CEMAR or FastDraft is advantageous.
Key Result Areas:

Conduct survey and scoping works to develop project plans.
Develop project cost plans and obtain necessary approvals.
Ensure timely project delivery, handover, and warranty management.
Uphold high standards of workmanship and safety across all projects.
Maintain regular communication with Stakeholders and provide project performance updates.
Establish and maintain project governance arrangements, including risk analysis and change control processes.
Proactively manage project risks, opportunities, and issues.
Ensure compliance with statutory H&S requirements and other regulatory standards.
