Job Title: Quantity Surveyor

Location: England, East Midlands, Nottinghamshire

Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time

Primary Industry: Construction

Secondary Industry: Environmental and Waste

Salary: £40,000.00 - £45,000.00 Per annum

Job Description

Job Duties:

  • To manage the budget and contractual relationships of the companies’ projects 
  • Ensure all projects and sub-contracts are kept in line with programme and tendered budgets 
  • Identify and weigh up all commercial risks  
  • Managebudgets and overseeing payment and ensure all projects reach the correct standards.  
  • Provide weekly and monthly data to meet KPI’s, monitoring and reporting on trends to inform the business 
  • Any other duties assigned in line with the scope and seniority of the role 

Required Qualifications:

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying or related field.
  • Professional accreditation (e.g., RICS) is preferred.

Education, Experience, Knowledge, and Skills:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Quantity Surveying.
  • Strong knowledge of construction industry practises and processes.
  • Excellent numerical and financial management skills.
  • Proficiency in relevant software applications.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Postgraduate qualification in Quantity Surveying.
  • Experience working on environmental and waste projects.
  • Understanding of the current NEC 3 and NEC 4 contracts  
  • Negotiation skills and evidence-based reporting  

Working Conditions:

  • Office-based work with occasional site visits.
  • Full-time hours, with potential for overtime during project deadlines.
  • Travel may be required to visit project sites.
