Job Title: Assistant Quantity Surveyor

Location: England, East Midlands, Leicestershire

Salary: £30,000.00 - £40,000.00 Per annum

Job Description:

Job Duties:

• Prepare cost estimates for construction projects
• Manage project budgets and financials
• Conduct risk assessments and value engineering
• Prepare tender documents and contracts
• Evaluate and negotiate subcontractor bids
• Monitor project progress and costs
• Provide advice on contractual claims and disputes

Required Qualifications:

• Relevant degree in Quantity Surveying or related field
• Professional accreditation (e.g., RICS) preferred

Education:

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or related field

Experience:

• Minimum of 3 years' experience in Quantity Surveying
• Experience in water civils
• NEC contract experience

Knowledge and Skills:

• Strong understanding of construction contracts and regulations
• Excellent numerical and analytical skills
• Good communication and negotiation abilities
• Proficiency in relevant software (e.g., CostX, Bluebeam)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Chartered status with RICS

Working Conditions:

• Hybrid working with site visits as required
• Standard working hours with occasional overtime
• Travel may be necessary to project sites
