Job Title: Quantity Surveyor
Location: England, East Midlands, Leicestershire

Salary: £40,000.00 - £55,000.00 per annum
Job Duties:
- Prepare cost estimates and budgets for construction projects
- Conduct site visits and evaluations to assess project progress and costs
- Analyse and negotiate contracts with suppliers and subcontractors
- Manage project finances and track expenses to ensure projects stay within budget
- Provide advice on cost-effective solutions and value engineering
- Prepare tender documents and assist with tender evaluations
- Prepare and submit progress reports to stakeholders
Required Qualifications:
- Degree in Quantity Surveying or related field
- Professional accreditation (e.g. RICS) is desirable
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or related field
Experience:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in quantity surveying
- Experience in construction projects is essential
Knowledge and Skills:
- Strong understanding of construction methods and materials
- Excellent numerical and analytical skills
- Proficiency in relevant software applications (e.g. CostX, Bluebeam)
- Good communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
Preferred Qualifications:
- Chartered Quantity Surveyor status
- Postgraduate qualification in Quantity Surveying
- You hold a degree or equivalent in Quantity Surveying
- Experience working with complex civil projects within the water industry.
Working Conditions:
- Hybrid work with frequent site visits
- Regular working hours with occasional overtime required
- Travel to project sites may be necessary
