As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be required to provide relevant business reports and information to the Senior QS and Commercial Manager for review, such as CVR, valuation/application periodic use and cash flow forecasting.

In this role, you can also expect:

• Develop relationships with customers by maintaining regular contact and meeting
• Track contract costs against agreed budgets
• Monitor contract compliance with legal requirements, ensuring all contract correspondence is recorded
• Identify potential financial risks and evaluate options to mitigate them
• Produce, submit and approve final accounts as required by contract
• Liaise with supply chain for sourcing, negotiation and ordering from subcontractors and suppliers
• Monitor contract change/payment confirmation and final payments to subcontractors according to agreed terms and conditions

The ideal candidate will have:

• Minimum 2-3 years of experience working in a contract environment - Essential
• Ability to work proactively and without supervision - Essential
• HND / Diploma in Quantity Surveying / RICS or CES (or equivalent) - Desired
• General knowledge of NEC contract templates – Desired
• Experience in the railway sector – Desired
• Ability to process fast speeds and large order volumes, with high standards of project performance and customer satisfaction
• Excellent communication skills and confidence to interact with stakeholders
• An enthusiastic attitude and the ability to get started quickly
• Great attention to detail
