Currently seeking a Project Manager (Design), who will be responsible for the coordination of permanent and temporary works design and the interface with the construction teams. Working on framework contracts on the Eastern Route for our client Network Rail, projects will include a wide variety of design and build schemes including structures, earthworks and drainage disciplines.

A key function of the role will be reviewing sub-contract designer’s deliverables to ensure designs fulfil the clients remit and comply with the standards and regulations applicable to the contract, considering constructability, third party interfaces and Safe by Design principles. Knowledge of railway standards and demonstrable experience delivering projects in a rail environment is essential. Ideally the candidate will have been approved in CRE roles previously, and hold a relevant engineering qualification.
The location is flexible – The role can be split between our offices in Leeds, Sheffield and Wigan and working from home.


The role will provide exposure to all kinds of engineering problems on the railway infrastructure, where you will play a key role in developing renewals and maintenance solutions for bridges, culverts, earthworks, platforms, station buildings and much more!
