My client has asked me to assist in identifying and placing a Flood and Coastal Erosion Risk Management Advisor, to be based out of their Lincoln office.
Role Description:
Support development of additional funding allocation planning
Learning lessons from previous portfolio and setting in place procedures around specific future additional funding scenarios (including recovery funding)
Linking up portfolio development/allocation with the portfolio reporting plans to provide a holistic plan for 2021 to 2027
Skills:
Excellent networking skills and the ability to question others to obtain relevant technical information
Able to translate technical information into rational plans
Experience of FCRM field of work desirable and ideally around the 6 year programme
Ideally with a good understanding of portfolio/programme management and the underlining theory of best practices
Extra information:
Any candidate needs an understanding or experience of flood, coastal and erosion risk management principles and the systems used to deliver them.
It would be advantageous to have a good understand of hydrological, fluvial, estuarine and or coastal geomorphological processes.
Good understanding of FCRM /PSO strategic and technical principles is vital, including developing and reviewing businesses cases, benefits apportionment.
You should be able to question and identify risks in business cases.
Understand Project management principles as you will be acting as an Senior User for the Environment Agency rather than a Project Manager.
You will have the ability and experience to engage with partners to secure correct outcomes.
