Job Title - Bid Writer
Based - West Lancashire

The role
As a Bid Writer, you will join a highly successful work winning team with a track record of winning major rail bids. Over the next five years, they are looking to break into new markets including highways, energy, and utilities. You will work on every element of bidding and bid writing to produce market leading submissions. In between bids you will focus on developing the case study library, working closely with the operational teams to capture evidence for use in future bids. You will also help to develop the bidding capabilities of the subject matter experts through training, mentoring and support. The role will be based in one of the regional offices in West Lancashire or Carlisle with the flexibility of hybrid working. As an experienced Bid Writer and reporting to the Bid Manager.
Duties
Producing professionally written EOI, PQQ and ITT responses that consistently win work.
Leading responses through to final submission. Driving continuous improvement and innovation throughout the bid process. Developing case studies, collateral, CVs, and evidence to support long term positioning.
Leading and developing bid writing competency across the company. Supporting the development of win strategies and capture plans.
Requirements Proven experience as a bid writer, ideally for a tier one contractor. Knowledge of the civils and/or rail industry would be beneficial but not essential. Track record in working on and winning complex, high value bids.
Self-motivated, used to working under pressure and to strict deadlines. Forensic attention to detail. Advanced experience of using Microsoft Word APMP member desirable
