Job Summary:
As the Works Delivery Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the successful execution and delivery of rail infrastructure projects in Sheffield. You will be responsible for managing and coordinating all aspects of works delivery, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage a team of engineers, project managers, and support staff in the delivery of rail infrastructure projects in Sheffield.
Develop and maintain detailed project plans, including resource allocation, milestones, and budgets, to ensure successful project execution.
Collaborate with various stakeholders, including clients, subcontractors, and regulatory authorities, to ensure effective communication and project alignment.
Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies to overcome challenges and ensure project success.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, maintaining a safe working environment for all personnel.
Review project documentation, including design specifications and technical drawings, to ensure adherence to project requirements.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement, implementing best practices and innovative solutions to enhance project efficiency and quality.
Requirements:

Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Proven experience in managing and delivering rail infrastructure projects, preferably within a rail contracting environment.
Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team of professionals.
Excellent project management skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks, manage budgets, and meet deadlines.
Knowledge of rail industry regulations, standards, and practices.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills to build positive working relationships with stakeholders.
Problem-solving mindset with the ability to think critically and make decisions under pressure.
A commitment to safety and quality, with a proactive approach to risk management.
