Work Pack Manager role:

Our client is a key player in the nuclear industry, contributing to the 100-year clean-up program at the Sellafield Site. The Box Encapsulation Plant (BEP) project, led by a Joint Venture, is a critical initiative aimed at encapsulating nuclear waste in concrete for safe storage. This project addresses the cleanup of legacy waste plants, including the Magnox Swarf Storage Silo, in alignment with the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority's (NDA) priorities.


As a Construction Work Pack Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful design and delivery of the Box Encapsulation Plant project.

Your responsibilities will include managing the content of Construction Work Packs for CS&A, CE&I, and Mechanical disciplines, facilitating communication between engineering and construction teams, and overseeing the progress of construction work packages.

Key Responsibilities:

~Manage the content of Construction Work Packs (CWP) for CS&A, CE&I, and Mechanical disciplines, ensuring alignment with project schedules and SOP 808.

~Act as a liaison between the engineering and construction teams, preparing Engineering Orders (EO) documents in adherence to company processes.

~Report progress on construction discipline CWP to the Site Chief Engineer through weekly reports and monthly dashboards for client deliverables.

~Oversee deliverables from subcontract organizations within the CS&A & Mechanical work packages.

~Ensure timely access to design information for the construction team, including EO’s, drawings, and specifications.

~Report issues affecting the delivery of work packages and liaise with the engineering management team.

~Facilitate change control processes, including Design Changes (DCA’s) and Project Management Instructions (PMI’s).

~Monitor progress against agreed scopes, advising the construction team of any deviations and collaborating with the completions team.

~Monitor and manage site design deviations, concessions, production permits, defect notices, and technical queries.

~Ensure proper documentation of deviations through Red Lined Drawings and Quality Control (QC) processes.

~Oversee the full closeout of CWP and EO, aligning with planning, schedule, and Safety Transfer Certificate (STC) requirements.

~Collaborate with the Project Life Time Records (LTR) team and Quality PQE’s for concurrent capturing and inputting of records.

Requirements:

~Construction experience with a CSCS Card (Manager Level).

~Minimum Diploma/Degree level construction competency-based qualification.

~Understanding of quality assurance processes and compliance.

~Proficiency in standard Microsoft Office programs (Word/Excel).

~Ability to obtain BPSS and a P4 pass is essential for continuance in this role.

Microsoft Office Essential; Autocad and Navisworks desirable.
