We are currently seeking a P6 Tender Planner (or Senior Planner) to join our client, a well known construction company operating within the Rail Industry based from their South Yorkshire office.

You will be based in a busy work winning team who are involved in a range of projects and pre/contract/tender stage engineering works across a variety of sectors. Typical projects involve bridge works, embankments, stations, platform extensions and upgrades, tunnels etc etc).

Day to day responsibilities will include :

Build a programme from first principles using Primavera P6
Liaise with estimating and internal stakeholders to determine sufficiency and compliance of internal resources and also subcontractor/supplier quotations with respect to programme/methodology
Input into the tender strategy
The presentation of tender programmes to senior management at tender review meetings
Technical appraisal of construction labour, plant, materials and temporary works
The effective analysis of programme risks
The preparation of tender submission documents including programme narrative.
Plant & labour reconciled with estimating team.
Produce programme what-if scenarios as appropriate.

Candidates will either have had previous experience as a Tender Planner within a civil engineering environment, or will have come from a site based environment, engineering, site management etc and will be looking for a change in direction of career.

Ideally you will have experience of Primavera, civil engineering and will have worked for a major contractor organisation.
