Technical Standards Manager - Construction Main Contractor

As part of our dedication to uphold the highest standards of quality and safety in all our projects, we are seeking a Technical Standards Manager who will play a pivotal role in ensuring our projects are delivered to the highest standards, in compliance with the latest regulations and industry best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance protocols and standards across all projects, ensuring compliance with the Building Safety Act and the principles of the Golden Thread.
• Conduct thorough inspections and validations of site paperwork and processes, ensuring all documentation is accurate, complete, and compliant with regulatory requirements.
• Work independently of project teams to provide an unbiased review of project delivery standards and practices, identifying areas for improvement and ensuring corrective actions are implemented effectively.
• Provide expert advice and coaching to site teams on quality assurance practices, the Building Safety Act, and the Golden Thread, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and compliance.
• Utilize strong IT skills to manage, track, and report on compliance and quality assurance metrics, facilitating effective communication and documentation of standards and practices across the organization.
• Collaborate with project managers and site teams to ensure that project delivery processes are aligned with industry best practices and regulatory requirements, fostering a proactive approach to quality and safety management.
Key Requirements:
• Proven experience in a similar role within the construction industry, with a strong background in quality assurance and a deep understanding of project delivery processes.
• In-depth knowledge of the Building Safety Act, the Golden Thread principles, and their application in construction projects.
• Ability to inspect and validate site paperwork independently, ensuring compliance with legal and project-specific requirements.
• Strong understanding of construction project delivery, with the ability to coach and mentor site teams on best practices in quality assurance and compliance.
• Exceptional IT skills, with proficiency in using project management and quality assurance software tools.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
• A proactive, detail-oriented approach, with a commitment to driving improvements in quality and safety standards across the organization.
