I am seeking a highly skilled and experienced Civil Construction Project Manager who can provide on-site technical advice in a civil construction environment. The ideal candidate should have a proven track record in managing projects related to bridges, roads, highways, earthworks, and possess a fundamental understanding of rail construction. As a Civil Construction Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading projects from conception to completion, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency throughout the construction process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and requirements. Develop comprehensive project plans, schedules, and budgets.
  • Provide expert technical advice and guidance on civil construction projects, including bridges, roads, highways, earthworks, and rail components as needed.
  • Efficiently allocate resources, including labour, equipment, and materials, to ensure project milestones are met.
  • Oversee quality control processes to ensure that all construction activities adhere to industry standards and meet project specifications.
  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies. Monitor and address project issues in a timely manner to prevent delays or cost overruns.
  • Ensure that all on-site activities comply with safety regulations and company policies. Promote a culture of safety among project teams.
  • Maintain clear and open communication channels with clients, subcontractors, and project team members. Provide regular progress reports and address client concerns promptly.
  • Monitor project costs and implement cost-saving measures, when necessary, without compromising quality or safety.
  • Evaluate change orders and variations to the project scope. Effectively manage changes while minimizing disruption to the project timeline.
  • Foster positive relationships with clients by delivering exceptional service and addressing their needs and concerns.

Key Skills:

  • Proven experience as a Project Manager in civil construction, with a strong background in bridges, roads, highways, and earthworks. Some exposure to rail projects is desirable.
  • Excellent knowledge of construction methods, materials, and equipment.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
