Technical Estimator – (Active Fire Protection) - Remote
Remuneration: Competitive and relative to experience (includes full package)

Start Date: 0-3 months
A Tier 1 main contractor is seeking a technically minded Estimator to prepare and compile costs for the installation and maintenance of security/fire alarm systems.
You will be directly involved with unique large-scale projects, liaising with subcontractors, suppliers, and stakeholders during the tender process to ensure accurate costing. As such the ideal candidate will have impeccable knowledge of contract/maintenance pricing methods blended with genuine passion for fire & security.
This role offers a modern work life balance with ample flexibility to work remotely or from office locations(s).
Responsibilities:
• Actively prepare and compile tender costs, ensuring accuracy and strict adherence to specifications
• Review project specifications, drawings, and documents to understand the scope of work.
• Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, and stakeholders during the tender process to ensure accurate costing.
• Clearly outline the scope of work, materials, and services in proposals.
• Collaborate with project management teams to align with client expectations.
• Communicate with vendors to obtain accurate pricing for materials and equipment.
• Evaluate and select suppliers based on cost, quality, and reliability.
• Handover final projects to the operational team.
What we require from you?
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience working in a similar capacity
• Strong technical knowledge of intruder, access control, CCTV, fire, PAVA, and networking systems.
• Knowledge and understanding of relevant British standards and statutory compliance obligations
• Security clearance preferable
• Familiarity with capital projects and maintenance pricing methodology.
• Understanding of contract models, specifically NEC and JCT.
