Our client is a distinguished West Yorkshire-based house builder renowned for our commitment to excellence in new build and social housing projects. Our dedication to creating thriving communities has garnered accolades, and we are now seeking a dedicated Technical Coordinator to help us continue delivering remarkable developments.
Key Responsibilities: As our Technical Coordinator, you will have a multifaceted role in the success of our projects. Your responsibilities will encompass:
- Discharge of Planning Conditions: Ensuring compliance with planning conditions and managing their timely discharge.
- Appointing Consultants: Collaborating with architects, engineers, and other specialists as needed.
- S51 Water Applications: Handling water-related applications and ensuring compliance.
- MU Services Quotes/Coordination: Coordinating multiple utility service quotations and installations.
- SAP Specification Coordination: Overseeing the implementation of SAP specifications.
- Documentation Checking: Scrutinizing various documents, including electrical, mechanical, and structural drawings, as well as other critical documents like beam/block, joist, truss, staircase, kitchen, and conveyance plans.
- SBD Applications: Managing applications related to Secure by Design (SBD) certification.
- Plot to Postals: Ensuring efficient postal coordination for all properties.
- MPAN/MPRN Registration: Registering properties with energy suppliers (MPAN/MPRN).
- S106 Applications Coordination: Coordinating Section 106 applications, particularly those related to drainage connections.
- S38, S104, S185, S278 Application Coordination: Managing and coordinating various Section applications, including 38, 104, 185, and 278.
- NHBC Registration: Handling NHBC registration and portal discharge of information.
- As-Built Coordination: Ensuring accurate as-built documentation and project completion.
- HUGS: Overseeing Health, Utility, and Gas Safety (HUGS) compliance.
- Resolving Site Queries: Addressing and resolving site-related queries promptly.
- Chairing Tracker Meetings: Leading and facilitating tracker meetings.
- Attendance of Project Review Meetings: Actively participating in project review meetings.
- Client/Stakeholder Engagement: Maintaining open communication and engagement with clients and stakeholders.
Qualifications and Experience: To excel in this role, you should have:
- A degree in a relevant field such as Construction Management or Building Studies or equivalent industry experience.
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in technical coordination within the construction or housing sector.
- Proficiency in relevant software and tools.
- Exceptional problem-solving and communication skills.
