My client is looking to appoint a Social Value Manager on a permanent basis. My clients operate within the new build private sale and social housing sector and have a superb track record of delivering quality to their clients.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the Social Value team in the East/West Midlands; to support, develop and enhance the Central Region social value outputs. They will be for overall strategy and managing the project outputs on existing and newly established projects plus the successful reporting and achievement of these.

Responsibilities

  • Day to day management of the social value team
  • Driving the development of Social Value throughout projects and the wider business
  • Production of performance management information and reporting these to client and board alike
  • Liaison with operational teams for planning and delivery of social value outputs
  • Liaison with Group support services (Learning and Development, Responsible Business, Community teams)
  • Sourcing and implementing new schemes and groups in line with Social Value Strategy aims
  • Developing and implementing a social value plan
  • Leading social value input for regional bid activity
  • Managing activity across East and West Midlands
  • Delivering consistent and exemplar standards for all submissions
  • Develop and maintain an excellent network of specialist stakeholders

Qualifications or Required Experience

  • Solid understanding of Apprenticeship lifecycle
  • Knowledge of Social Value reporting platforms and Social Return on Investment generation
  • Knowledge of Bid support and tender process
  • Ability to work remotely and independently to manage own caseload and delegate to others
  • Ability to lead and work as part of a team demonstrating a flexible, supportive, and collaborative approach
  • Ability to work across multiple contracts, to support the business
  • Prior evidence of working to tight deadlines
  • Knowledge and understanding of apprenticeship schemes and current Government policy in this area
  • Prior experience of managing/mentoring/supporting young people or apprentices
  • Prior experience of providing careers advice/employability support - preferably in a construction sector
  • Prior experience in Social Value / Community Engagement role
  • Understanding of current Social Value / Community Investment priorities in the UK and models of recording and measuring Social Value
  • Previous experience of Managing and Leading a team over a large geographical area
  • Previous experience of representing business at a regional / national Level
  • Previous experience of leading on large scale, multi-partner initiatives and events
