Site Manager required for 5 month works project in Oswestry, Shropshire.

Construction works will be taking place in a live environment and include a large amount of civils works, concrete breakout works, upgrades to the acces roads and entrance driveways, compound upgrades, and groundworks and drainage updates.

The Site Manager will have full responsibility for the Construction Works ’site’. The Site Manager will report into the Project Manager, and be supported by a visiting Health & Safety Manager. The Site Manager must be preapred to ‘take ownership’ of the site and fully understand the project that they are leading.

Key Responsibilities:
• Assist at all times in maintaining a safe working environment within Company workplaces and applying the Company’s Health & Safety Policy and all H&S aspects on site.
• Liaise, guide and instruct sub contractors on site.
• Liaise and communicate with professional design teams and clients as necessary
• Attend meetings as required
• Liaise with Directors on a weekly basis to ensure programme and targets are maintained.
• Assist in identifying variations instructed on site
• Oversee all aspects of the on site construction process

Skills Required:
• Strong Site Management experience with a main contractor
• Proven experience managing sites for residential and mixed-use projects
• Excellent time management and able to manage multiple subcontractors on site
• Experience with structural works, ground works and high end finishes
• Commercially and financially aware of costing and sustainability
• Able to build strong working relationships
• Strong team and people management skills
• Motivated and able to engage with all levels of staff colleagues and third parties
• Excellent communication skills

Qualifications required:
• SMSTS qualification essential
• CSCS card essential
• First Aid qualification
• Demonstrate experience of managing/supporting/coaching a team of people to deliver quality projects to stakeholders.
• Target orientated, focus on quality and delivery to high standards and prepared to develop self and others under their control.
