I am currently seeking a Graduate Engineer who is keen to develop their utilities skill as Service Avoidance Technician or anyone who as worked in a similar role. Role would be working with a UK main Contractor covering Civils projects.
Our client has asked us to identify a potential Service Avoidance Technician who is driven, able to identify and deal with problems, assertive while maintain high levels of professionalism.
Duties include:
• Training in the use of CAT scan and GPR initially including the interpretation of survey information into a project report
• Followed by the roll out of GPR on our construction sites to work with sites teams across the Southern region
• Responsible for recommending appropriate methodologies based on the project requirements and advising project teams on GPR and CAT and genny scan deliverables
• Collating a portfolio of information around the successful application of service identification techniques that will be used to further promote capability across project teams
• Provide GPR survey and site finding (buried services) reports to project
The successful candidate will have:
• HNC/HND degree in Civil Engineering or similar
•Previous experience as a Graduate Engineer, Engineer or similar
• Experience with a RD8000, RD8100 or similar
• Understanding of CAT & Genny
• Good understanding of utilities and services
