South Wales based client who is an independent civil and Architectural consultancy have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior Structural CAD Technician.  This role would be to lead and set up a Structural department within the group, working within this small dynamic team to meet demanding schedules on challenging projects. The successful candidate will ideally have previous experience of working within a consultancy practice and you must be fully experienced with AutoCAD.

Main responsibilities• Liaise with Civils and Architectural Management in undertaking development of specific details to complete briefed tasks. • Actively participate in day-to-day prioritising of job-related tasks. • Exercise design and delivery to the highest standards, demonstrating all round technical competence.

Requirements • Educated to HNC/HND level (or equivalent). • Minimum of several years’ experience as Structural CAD Technician within a UK-based design consultancy. • Experienced with AutoCAD and working knowledge of relevant industry software packages. • Ability to deliver projects through to completion and deliver to agreed deadlines. • Sound technical skills • Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team and independantly • Be proactive in addressing problem issues, presenting and pushing solutions • Strong communication skills both written and verbal • Be able to work well as part of a close-knit design team.
