Senior Specification Consultant – Architect

Location: London or Manchester (Hybrid after initial training)
Salary: £40,000 - £50,000


A distinguished global infrastructure firm Is looking for a Senior Specification Consultant with a background in architecture. You will be part of a renowned group who develop and maintain critical infrastructure worldwide, with a focus on sustainability and innovation, you will aid in delivering projects that improve communities and enhance quality of life.

Your main objective will be to develop and maintain client relationships, ensuring awareness of their pipeline to secure repeat commissions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare detailed project specifications.
  • Advise clients on design responsibilities, contract formats, and procurement routes.
  • Provide material recommendations.
  • Coordinate specifications with other disciplines (e.g., Civils, Structures, MEP).
  • Stay up to date on standards, products, and innovations, including market conditions and their impact on services.
  • Align deliverables with the clients brief and project scope.
  • Monitor project finances and address potential issues.
  • Develop and share client contact networks.
  • Identify and pursue business development opportunities with established clients.
  • Foster key internal relationships within the London/Manchester Specification Consulting team.


Qualifications, Skills, and Attributes:

  • Ability to prepare architectural specifications.
  • Strong technical design understanding.
  • Knowledge of modern construction techniques, methodologies, and standards.
  • Detailed understanding of UK construction procurement and specification documentation. Middle East construction knowledge is a plus.
  • Flexible and open to new methods of working.
  • Ambitious, enthusiastic, and knowledgeable about the design and delivery process.
  • Understanding of BIM software (NBS Chorus experience is desirable)

Additional Information:

  • Degree qualified in Architecture or Architectural Technology.
