Senior/Principle Flood Modeller

A position has opened up for a Senior/Principle Flood Modeller with a multi-award-winning, highly experienced, multidisciplinary construction consultancy. The vacancy is open in Warwick but candidates will also be considered in Bristol and Sheffield.

Key Responsibilities and Expectations:

  • Chartered or nearing chartership (i.e. CIWEM or ICE).
  • Carrying out site visits and surveys, inspections, and work with sub-contractors.
  • Preparing and checking feasibility studies, inspection, assessment and technical reports and other written documents.
  • Preparing /checking design approach, calculations, drawings and documents.
  • Manage projects and teams within agreed time scales.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and management skills.


Software and Skills:

  • Flow/Micro Drainage.
  • Flood Modeller Pro.
  • TUFLOW.
  • HEC-RAS (or similar 1D-2D hydraulic modelling software).
  • Hydrological software (primarily WINFAP4, and ReFH2).
  • GIS software (QGIS).
  • AutoCAD/Autodesk.
  • Civil 3D (preferred but not essential).
  • Knowledge of FRAs, SuDS and Pre-Planning civils.
  • Experience producing detailed drainage design.
  • Understanding of S104 agreements (preferred but not essential).
