A position has opened up for a Senior/Principle Flood Modeller with a multi-award-winning, highly experienced, multidisciplinary construction consultancy. The vacancy is open in Warwick but candidates will also be considered in Bristol and Sheffield.
Key Responsibilities and Expectations:
- Chartered or nearing chartership (i.e. CIWEM or ICE).
- Carrying out site visits and surveys, inspections, and work with sub-contractors.
- Preparing and checking feasibility studies, inspection, assessment and technical reports and other written documents.
- Preparing /checking design approach, calculations, drawings and documents.
- Manage projects and teams within agreed time scales.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and management skills.
Software and Skills:
- Flow/Micro Drainage.
- Flood Modeller Pro.
- TUFLOW.
- HEC-RAS (or similar 1D-2D hydraulic modelling software).
- Hydrological software (primarily WINFAP4, and ReFH2).
- GIS software (QGIS).
- AutoCAD/Autodesk.
- Civil 3D (preferred but not essential).
- Knowledge of FRAs, SuDS and Pre-Planning civils.
- Experience producing detailed drainage design.
- Understanding of S104 agreements (preferred but not essential).
