Job Title: Senior Quantity Surveyor

Location: London

Salary: £60,000 - £75,000 depending

Purpose of the Role:

They are currently seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing all costs in relation to infrastructure projects, identifying commercial risks and opportunities, and optimizing commercial performance through diligent cost control and value for money opportunities. You will also provide support to senior members of the team in delivering varied commercial duties, including responsibility for procuring and managing the supply chain.

What You'll Be Doing:

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Adhering to the Company’s GMCEs, BMS, and other governance;
  • Estimating, managing, and final accounting various works of various sizes and values;
  • Measuring, recording, and valuing work supervised in accordance with appropriate rules and procedures;
  • Seeking out, locating, and assembling pre and post-contract documentation, complemented with the necessary administration skills;
  • Being responsible for weekly and monthly works programs;
  • Using the company’s ERP System and BMS systems;
  • Collating cost and value information;
  • Preparing cost reconciliation statements;
  • Collecting information required to specify procurement requirements;
  • Recording and documenting information, including registration of interest;
  • Understanding the steps/documentation required;
  • Measuring works and agreements with subcontractors;
  • Maintaining a Personal Development Plan;
  • Helping support the development of others.

Who We're Looking For:

We are seeking a highly organized, innovative, and creative Quantity Surveyor with the following qualifications and experience:

Essential:

  • Currently have or working towards a BSc or MSc in Quantity Surveying or equivalent experience.

Desirable:

  • An organised, innovative and creative Quantity Surveyor;
  • Previous experience of managing costs and maximising value;
  • Experience of financial and commercial control within a project;
  • Experience of procuring and managing the supply chain;
  • Experience of working as part of commercial teams;
  • Supports the development of others;
  • Membership of or working towards RICS;
  • Proven record of working to deadlines, working efficiently and to a high standard;
  • Experience of infrastructure projects with resilience and determination to succeed.
