Job Title - Senior Quantity Surveyor
Based - Merseyside office with Manchester based projects
The client
I am currently recruiting for a regional contractor who has several residential sites in the northwest. Project values £7 - £15 million.
Projects
Residential, houses, apartments, education, leisure, healthcare
Duties
- Weekly site measures & site liaison for records of events
- Costing and submitting variations
- Keeping all commercial registers up to date
- Performing Value management and cost control.
- Arranging payments and valuing completed work.
- Subcontractor payment review and approval
- Managing projects through to completion, taking responsibility for their successful delivery.
- Subcontract payments, variations and final accounts
- Submission of Cost Value Reconciliations (CVRs) / all financial Reporting- Preparation of cost to complete
- Cash Flow and Turnover forecast
Essential Candidate Skills
- Must have worked as a Senior Quantity Surveyor on similar kinds of projects, working as a contractor on a housing construction project
- Strong numeracy and financial management skills and the ability to learn sophisticated design and costing IT packages
- Negotiating and team-working skills and the ability to motivate and lead those on site
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
- JCT Design and Build contract knowledge experience
Essential
Relevant project experience
A full Drivers licence is also essential.
Salary and Benefits
£55,000 - £67,000
