Job Title: Senior Quantity Surveyor
Location: Based out of Reigate - Travel required

Salary: £75,000 to £85,000 per annum*

Job Overview:

Our Client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor (SQS) / Quantity Surveyor (QS) to join their dynamic team. This role is ideal for a professional with a strong background in high-end residential fit-outs and refurbishments, catering to the needs of extremely wealthy individuals. Experience with listed buildings and historical sites will be highly beneficial.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of the contractual and financial side of construction projects.
  • Oversee high-end residential fit-out and refurbishment projects, ensuring quality standards and client expectations are met.
  • Work on projects involving listed buildings and historical sites, demonstrating an understanding of the unique challenges and requirements of such properties.
  • Prepare and analyze project costings, including budgets, forecasts, and actuals.
  • Liaise with clients, architects, and contractors, ensuring effective communication and relationship management.
  • Negotiate and prepare contract terms with clients and suppliers.
  • Conduct site visits and assessments as required.

Essential Experience and Skills:

  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, specifically in high-end residential projects for affluent clients.
  • Knowledge and experience working with listed buildings and historical sites.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in budget management and cost control.
  • Excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to travel as required for project needs.

Education:

  • A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
  • Professional accreditation (e.g., RICS) is advantageous.
