Job title - Senior Quantity Surveyor

Team - Civil Engineering. Joining a large Commercial team of 55 people, this role would report into the Managing QS and based in head office in Lancashire.

The Role

The Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for the administration of NEC3 contracts

The Quantity Surveyor will maintain contract project documentation

Prepare and issue of EWN’s and CE’s to the supply chain and clients

They will attend weekly and monthly commercial meetings at a project level

Monitor change control at a project level

Liaise with the programmer(s) at a project level

They will also maintain pre, during and post contract liaison with clients and supply chain

Oversee supply chain negotiation and letting package of work

The Senior Quantity Surveyor will also manage and value variations/ CE’s

They will prepare and submit monthly valuations, final accounts and project tenders including follow up

They will develop and maintain relationships with relevant client representatives and supply chain contacts

Experience Required

Must have Civil Engineering experience working for a contractor BSc Degree in Quantity Surveying, with a minimum of 5 years experience an NEC contract environment

Demonstrable understanding of both Pre-Contract and Post-Contract work

Proficient working knowledge of NEC 3 main and subcontract contract forms (essential)

Strong written and verbal communication skills (essential)

Strong user of Excel, charts, pivots, lookups and sheet automation.

Salary

£55,000 - £65,000
