My client is looking to appoint a Senior Quantity Surveyor due to continued success and future business growth, to join their team based at the Yorkshire office outside of Leeds.
My client is a five-star rated privately owned regional housebuilder who specializes in 2,3-, 4- & 5-bedroom homes.

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will have previous experience working for housebuilders and possess excellent relationship-building and communication skills.

Key responsibilities and requirements
• Working within an active regional commercial team with regular site visits to maintain an excellent relationship with site teams
• Setting budgets and Managing build costs for your own sites
• Issuing drawings for new tenders, comparing quotations and placing subcontractor orders
• Managing the working partnerships with third-party suppliers and sub-contractors to ensure that all contractual terms are met and ensure that all orders are placed, and the onsite works are delivered in accordance with the order placed
• Engaging fully in the process of determining and agreeing on-site start programmes and timescales
• Assisting in the production of comprehensive Commercial reports and estimates for inclusion in Land Appraisals to support growth plans
• Maintaining current site budgets, completing a cost and valuation exercise including compiling a report of the variances to the commercial manager and managing director
• Producing key status reports and updates on all KPIs relating to the commercial function
The ideal candidate
• Degree in Quantity Surveying or similar – Essential
• Experience working as a Senior Quantity Surveyor on a new build homes
• A full UK driving license
• A good understanding of the financial implications of the methods and sequences of the build.
• Good Financial/Commercial awareness & Technical knowledge within the Construction Industry.
• Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to relate to all levels of staff
• Being organized, having analytical thinking, and good attention to detail

What we offer:
• £55000 - £65000 (depending on experience) plus package, bonus, and many other benefits
