My client is looking to appoint a Senior Quantity Surveyor on a permanent basis. My clients operate within the social housing sector delivering planned maintenance and refurbishment works on social housing properties.
The successful candidate will be covering work across the East Midlands taking responsibility, ownership and accountability of the successful management and control all aspects of the commercial, financial and contractual elements of designated projects within a division in order to control and maximise the company’s profitability
Responsibilities
- To manage a commercial team, and where applicable operation staff as the senior member of staff on a designated project(s)
- To provide feedback on deviation from cost bill
- Prepare and accurately forecast final accounts
- To develop strong customer relationships with key clients and their officers
- To take overall responsibility and accountability for the commercial elements on a number of contracts
- Profit and delivery maximisation and efficiency
Qualifications or Required Experience:
- BSc in a recognised constriction degree
- HND / HNC Level in a relevant construction acknowledged course
- Experience within a senior surveying position reporting to either a commercial manager or director
- Experience within a senior surveying position working closely with key members from the client (building and maintaining relationships)
- NEC Contract Experience
- IT Skills – Ms Office, Excel, Project, Word, etc
