Senior Quantity Surveyor/Commercial Manager – Chester –Main Contractor - New Build Apartments – Up to £75,000 plus package

The Client
My client is a main contractor with a high reputation in the North-West region in the residential sector. They are looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to work on a construction project in Chester, a £26M project constructing 160 apartments - RC Frame
This is a site and Office based role. You have the option to work from either their Liverpool or Manchester office.

Duties
• Managing cash flows / budgets and all financial information as per the companies’ policies and processes.
• Change Controls
• Ensuring group policies and processes are followed and reported fully on all build-related expenditure.
• Carry out cost management including forecasting
• Collaborate with departments across the business to improve cost effectiveness and ensure timely delivery of projects whilst providing cost advice on any aspect of the build as and when required.
• Monitor, reconcile and recharge any costs which relate to shared cost items with other internal teams and offices as well as external companies.
• Interim valuations and final accounts
• Liaising with clients
• Final accounts
• Producing a monthly cost summary for site.
• Identifying, pricing, and agreeing variations in a timely manner

Candidate
• Degree in Quantity Surveying or similar
• Client facing experience
• Confident (You will be expected to engage in business reviews and contract meetings)
• BSc in Quantity Surveying is ideal, a HNC / HND is essential or a similar in a commercial related course is essential.
• Previous recent experience working on New Build as a Main Contractor

Up to £75,000 Depending on experience
