Senior Quantity Surveyor required for well known a Tier 1 developer who have been established in and around London and Birmingham for many years. In the marketplace they have one of the best names in the construction industry.

They have a fantastic reputation as a responsible and professional high-end mixed-use developer with large scope for progression.

The successful candidate will be working closely with head of commercial and will be helping to manage commercial team to facilitate the cost-effective delivery and completion of developments.


Key Responsibilities


• Managing cash flows / budgets and all financial information as per the companies’ policies and processes
• Ensuring group policies and processes are followed and reported fully on all build-related expenditure
• Management of the working partnerships with Housing Associations, third party providers and sub-contractors to ensure that all contractual terms are met and ensure that all orders are placed
• Collaborate with departments across the business to improve cost effectiveness and ensure timely delivery of projects whilst providing cost advice on any aspect of the build as and when required
• A key part of determining and agreeing site start programmes and timescales
• Authorising and committing expenditure on the internal system
• Monitor, reconcile and recharge any costs which relate to shared cost items with other internal teams and offices as well as external companies.
• Producing key status reports and updates on all KPIs relating to the Commercial function
• Interim valuations and final accounts
• Liaising with clients
• Final accounts
• Producing a monthly cost summary for each site, reconciling against the Company Cost File
• Applications/ valuations
• Identifying, pricing and agreeing variations in a timely manner
• The job holder is responsible for Procurement, Payments, Valuations and administration of Health and Safety procedures



Experience, Qualifications, and skills

• Experience of working as a Senior Quantity Surveyor or Quantity Surveyor on a RC Framed projects
• BSc Quantity Surveying Degree
• Experience working on RC Frame developments for Developer is desirable
• Current CSCS card or equivalent is desirable
• Strong communication and listening skills, with good negotiation skills
• Highly motivated to deliver quality developments
• Ability to work on own as well as part of a team
• Excellent attention to detail and demonstrates ability to meet deadlines
• IT literate and the ability to adapt to new systems
• Good administration skills
• Committed to diversity and inclusion
• Able to lead and motivate a team


Salary

• £80,000- £85,000 (depending on experience) plus package

Previous experience working on RC Framed project is vital; preferably for a developer but we will consider main contractors as well.
You will need to have minimum 10 year’s industry experience in Surveying and Commercial Management.
