Senior Quantity Surveyor



A dynamic, growing, award winning developer have a role for a Senior Quantity Surveyor!

This market leading developer is looking to strengthen their commercial team. The chosen Senior Quantity Surveyor will be required to work on development projects.
The office is based in Warrington. This is an amazing opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor to join this award winning, national house builder and is after the opportunity to work on some challenging projects.
They have a fantastic reputation as a responsible and professional high-end developer with large scope for progression.

The successful candidate will help to manage projects from inception to completion and be experienced in the preparation of schedules of work/bill of quantities, NBS specifications, preliminaries, contract conditions, employers’ requirements, cost plans and estimates.


Key Responsibilities


• Managing cash flows / budgets and all financial information as per the companies’ policies and processes.
• Ensuring group policies and processes are followed and reported fully on all build-related expenditure.
• Management of the working partnerships with Housing Associations, third party providers and sub-contractors to ensure that all contractual terms are met and ensure that all orders are placed
• Collaborate with departments across the business to improve cost effectiveness and ensure timely delivery of projects whilst providing cost advice on any aspect of the build as and when required.
• A key part of determining and agreeing site start programmes and timescales.
• Authorising and committing expenditure on the internal system
• Monitor, reconcile and recharge any costs which relate to shared cost items with other internal teams and offices as well as external companies.
• Producing key status reports and updates on all KPIs relating to the Commercial function.
• Interim valuations and final accounts
• Liaising with clients
• Final accounts
• Producing a monthly cost summary for each site, reconciling against the Company Cost File
• Applications/ valuations
• Identifying, pricing and agreeing variations in a timely manner
• The job holder is responsible for Procurement, Payments, Valuations and administration of Health and Safety procedures.



Experience, Qualifications, and skills

• Experience of working as a Senior Quantity Surveyor or Quantity Surveyor with a residential house builder.
• HND/HNC Building Studies
• GCSE Grade C/4+ or equivalent in English and Maths
• Current CSCS card or equivalent is desirable
• Strong communication and listening skills, with good negotiation skills
• Highly motivated to deliver quality developments
• Ability to work on own as well as part of a team
• Excellent attention to detail and demonstrates ability to meet deadlines
• IT literate and the ability to adapt to new systems
• Good administration skills

Salary

• £55,000- £60,000 (depending on experience) plus package
