Senior Quantity Surveyor – Clean/Wastewater – Northwest projects – Manchester Office - £50k to £60k

Client
My client is a heavy civils contractor, and has teamed up with some leading national construction and engineering giants and is now part of a £350Million contract, when completed, will be one of the largest strategic water infrastructure projects the UK has ever seen and will create up to 500km of interconnecting pipelines

Duties
• Support and report on commercial/financial aspects of projects and contracts
• Help to ensure projects are delivered on time
• Help to ensure projects are within budget
• Assess contract risk and work with the site team to develop and manage mitigation plans.
• Undertake cost to complete reviews with the contract delivery teams.
• Attend internal and external commercial review meetings.
• Negotiating with suppliers and subcontractors.
• Preparation of / assistance with the evaluation and submission of claims for variation works.
• Assist in managing the subcontractor appointment process.
• Manage the commercial aspects of subcontract accounts from procurement to interim and final account agreement.
• Final account negotiation.
• Manage money recovery in accordance with the agreed terms and conditions
• Manage sub-contractor’s accounts
• Manage commercial performance against business targets and Framework KPIs.
• Ensure the full and proper implementation of the company procedures.
• To undertake any other duties as allocated

Candidate
• Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related construction discipline with
• 5+ years’ experience in clean or dirty water or civil engineering
• Ideally some NEC3 / NEC4 contract knowing and experience
• Full clean driving license

Package
£50k to £60k salary
£ 5920 car allowance
Minimum contribution of 4% and will match your contributions up to a max of 10%
