Senior Project Manager required for major project in Cardiff

Are you ready to lead and manage major projects with confidence and expertise? I am seeking a dynamic and passionate Senior Project Manager to take charge of project execution, team leadership, and client relations. As the senior site representative, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring project success while maximizing profitability and exceeding client expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership: Lead and develop the project team, ensuring clear expectations and individual responsibilities are assigned. Provide coaching and training to foster team development and manage conflicts effectively.
  • Client Relations: Manage relationships with clients, resolving queries and complaints while managing their aspirations and expectations. Develop strong relationships for future project opportunities.
  • Project Execution: Oversee day-to-day project delivery in terms of cost, value, schedule, safety, quality, and environmental compliance. Ensure strict adherence to budgetary guidelines, safety standards, and legal requirements.
  • Resource Management: Maintain a clear management structure, employ additional resources as needed, and manage organizational resources effectively. Procure materials, plant, and subcontractors to meet project targets.
  • Information Management: Direct designers, manage information schedules, and ensure dissemination of information to relevant parties. Foster knowledge sharing and collaboration across projects and sectors.
  • Project Planning: Develop overall project strategy, create plans to achieve specific goals, and monitor progress regularly. Review project plans and status with Contracts Manager on a monthly basis.
  • Cost Management: Understand contract mechanisms, manage project financials, and identify opportunities for cost and value management. Communicate project financial and contractual position effectively.
  • Client Liaison: Manage client expectations, resolve queries and complaints, and report progress and information requirements.
  • Administration: Organize time effectively, ensure project documents are complete, manage site administration, and maintain company procedures through internal reviews.


  • Formal qualification in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field, or commensurate experience
  • Proven experience in project management, particularly in medium to large-sized projects.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Strong understanding of health, safety, and environmental legislation.
  • Proficiency in project planning and cost management.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of BIM and its implications within the organization.
