Senior Planner required for a forward thinking, very well-established construction contractor operating across sectors that includes nuclear, residential, education and refurb. They have a well-developed local client base. They have some prestigious project wins and as a result are currently looking for a high calibre Senior Planner join their team based in Cumbria working on nuclear construction projects.

The Role

Prepare tenders for a project up to 15m in value.
Provide progress projects.
Lead in the development of the baseline contract programme, covering all aspects of, procurement, construction, commissioning, and handover.
To lead in the preparation of a construction (target) programme highlighting areas of improvement against the contract programme.
Maintain electronic files and administration of planning and programme documents to facilitate retrieval as required.
Provide all programme information as required support the management team.
To review risk and opportunities and highlight potential mitigation measures in the programme. Including float and time risk allowances.
To engage with the supply chain to develop the project programme with regards to design, lead-in’s, construction periods, plant & labour requirements.

For this role you will:

Be an established Senior Planner looking to move away from large projects.
Previous Construction Planning Experience, 5 years +
Ideally have 2 years site experience
Previous sector experience in Retail, Commercial, Industrial, Health and Education
Experienced user of ASTA, P6 and MS projects
Ability to work to meet timescales.
