This role offers a Hybrid working Pattern and flexible working hours.

I am currently working with a client who is a world-leader in engineering services, design consultancy and project management, looking for Senior Pipeline Civil Engineer at a senior and principal level.

You will be delivering technical expertise in pipeline route optimisation, material selection, thrust restraint, pipeline rehabilitation, trenchless technologies, condition assessment of existing pipelines, pipeline project research, asset deterioration modelling, and pipeline construction support.

You would be ideal for this position if you are a civil engineer with experience with clean and wastewater water and a passion for creating cutting-edge engineering solutions in the UK and abroad.  You will have the opportunity to work on infrastructure and non-infrastructure projects to advance your career.

You will be responsible for:

  • Leading and assisting in the effective completion of infrastructure (pipeline focus) projects across their entire lifecycles, including feasibility and alternatives analyses, detailed design, construction, commissioning, and support for handover.
  • Collaborating with customers and contractors, including in a design-build setting, to create innovative pipeline solutions that follow best practises.
  • Engaging with clients, contractors, and internal and external project teams to guarantee successful and economical project delivery.
  • Proactively organising, carrying out, and evaluating engineering design outputs, such as computations, drawings, specifications, and reports, in line with pertinent design standards, codes, client standards, and design management systems.
  • Directing the effective and quick delivery of projects to adhere to the budget and schedule.
  • Demonstrating leadership in the development of technically sound and overall high-quality project solutions.
  • Promoting innovative digital engineering projects and water sector solutions.
  • Serving as a mentor to other team members while posing as line management.

Your qualifications and skillset will include:

  • Chartered Member of an established engineering institution, or planning to undertake a chartership in the immediate future, bachelor's degree with a focus on civil engineering.
  • A thorough technical understanding of UK codes and standards that apply to pipelines and the larger water sector.
  • Working knowledge of large diameter pipeline projects in the role of project technical or civil lead.
  • Working with contractors to successfully implement engineering solutions is experience.
  • Interest and expertise in providing environmentally friendly solutions with a focus on carbon reduction.
  • Leader who works well with others in a multidisciplinary team, including the client, the contractor, and the team members.
  • Good knowledge of digital projects and how they apply to the water sector.
  • Flexibility and versatility in choosing employment locations that will best serve clients.
