I am recruiting for an experienced Facilities Management Consultant to join my clients team in the UK to support their wide range of health sector clients in delivering Facilities Management solutions for their property and assets around the world. You will be joining a team of like-minded experts that have a passion for innovation and delivering cutting edge solutions.

The Facilities Management (FM) team hold significant experience which enables my client to offer the complete range of FM consulting services. They work with their clients to develop, implement and monitor FM solutions that support their core business strategies and improve the delivery of support services.

You will deliver a range of commissions that will be required. You will also provide professional technical advice that creates value for our clients, through the application of knowledge and techniques to meet their objectives and improve Facilities Management performance.

This will involve a mix of independent and collaborative working to deliver the output to our clients on time and to the required quality whilst managing client expectations throughout the commission lifecycle.

You will be responsible for taking ownership of the commissions that you work on and for your own time management to work towards overall project timescales and potentially tight deadlines. You will also have responsibility for building strong, professional relationships with the clients you work with and identifying and resolving client issues and challenges.

As a Senior FM Consultant, you will be required, on occasion, to lead other consultants in the delivery of our FM consultancy commissions.

Experience:

  • Will have worked in or delivered projects for the NHS within the last 3 years and;
  • Will have held a previous role as a Facilities Management Consultant, Senior Client FM manager or service provider senior FM manager.
  • Strong knowledge and experience across the full range of Facilities Management services obtained through working as a Consultant, FM service provider or client-side FM. Ability to lead, inspire and motivate others to meet common objectives.
  • Expert knowledge and understanding of the FM Marketplace (Hard and/or Soft FM), the current trends and thinking within the FM market and demonstration of an ability to apply such trends in a strategic setting.
  • Excellent knowledge of FM business support information and an ability to apply this practice at an operational level to resolve issues with key stakeholders in the core business.
  • Excellent understanding of the interaction between FM services and the operational impact on and efficiency of the core business.
  • Self-motivated, proactive and innovative. An individual with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within internal and external teams and has excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Proficient and experienced in using MS office software including Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project and Visio.

Additionally, we are ideally looking for someone with the following experience:

  • Educated to degree level.
  • Formal qualification in FM, Property, Building Services or an Engineering discipline to degree level or similar, or hold an FM/Property related post-graduate qualification.
  • Will be a full member or working towards membership of the IWFM, IFMA or RICS.
  • Other relevant qualifications in procurement, project management or health and safety would be advantageous to this position.
