The Role:

As a Senior Engineer, you will play a vital role in our prestigious nuclear project at Sellafield. You will work closely with a team of professionals to ensure the successful execution and delivery of the project. Your technical expertise, leadership, and problem-solving skills will be crucial in overcoming challenges and achieving project goals.

Responsibilities:

• Provide technical expertise and guidance in the planning, design, and execution phases of the nuclear project.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to develop and implement engineering strategies and solutions.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards throughout the project lifecycle.
• Conduct technical reviews, analyze data, and provide recommendations to optimize project performance.
• Oversee the work of engineering teams, providing guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
• Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement proactive measures to mitigate them.
• Foster effective communication and collaboration among project teams to ensure smooth coordination and successful project delivery.
• Prepare technical reports, presentations, and documentation to accurately record project milestones and outcomes.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
• Extensive experience in engineering, preferably within the nuclear or heavy construction industry.
• In-depth knowledge of nuclear project lifecycle, regulations, and safety protocols.
• Strong technical skills in areas such as structural analysis, project management, and risk assessment.
• Proven leadership abilities, with the capacity to inspire and motivate multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make informed decisions under pressure.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
• Professional certifications and memberships in relevant engineering associations are a plus.
