Salary: £35,000.00 - £40,000.00 per annum
Job Duties:
- Manage and maintain the document control system, ensuring accuracy, security, and accessibility of all project-related documents
- Organise, categorise, and store documents in accordance with established procedures
- Create and maintain document filing and naming conventions to ensure consistency and ease of retrieval
- Review and verify the completeness and accuracy of all incoming and outgoing documents
- Distribute documents to relevant stakeholders and maintain a log of document transmittals
- Coordinate with project teams to ensure timely submission and approval of documents
- Track and monitor document revision history, ensuring that the latest versions are readily available
- Perform periodic audits to ensure compliance with document control procedures and standards
- Assist in the preparation of project reports and presentations by collating relevant documents and information
- Provide training and support to project teams on document control processes and systems
Required Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Document Controller or similar role
- Strong knowledge of document control principles, practises, and procedures
- Proficient in using document control software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Education:
A degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant field is preferred but not essential.
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in document control within the engineering or construction industry.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Thorough understanding of document control processes and best practises
- Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Proficient in data management and record-keeping
Preferred Qualifications:
- Professional certification in document control or records management
- Experience with electronic document management systems (EDMS)
- Knowledge of engineering and construction terminology
Working Conditions:
This role operates in a professional office environment. The Senior Document Controller will primarily work during regular office hours, Monday to Friday. However, occasional overtime may be required to meet project deadlines. The role involves working closely with project teams and stakeholders.
