Senior Design Manager required for large New build Hospital projects in North West England

Working for a large national main contractor, you will be working a number of projects based around the northwest, mainly in Merseyside. All projects are large new builds, in excess of £25m, so you will have very strong experience within the Healthcare sector, on large projects. You will have ideally at least 10 years design management experience working for a large main contractor. Experience working on P22 frameworks would be an Advantage.

Workload will be progressing the design process on tenders from Stage 2 through to the site biuld and stage 5.

You will be Co-ordinating the whole design process and working closely with the client, employers representatives, design team and legislative bodies.

It is important to have a good understanding of 3D Design and BIM Technology. You will be preparing progress reports, and organising and chairing design co-ordination and design progress meetings with the design team and sub-contractors and ensuring that design risk assessments are produced.

Ideally you will have experience of working on both Single and Two Stage Procurement routes.

A degree qualification or equivalent and CIOB professional Membership would be ideal.

There is an immediate start available for a suitable candidate, and the contractor have a number of live projects starting in Q2 2022. You will be given a good lead into the projects before they commence on site.
