Exciting new role at Hinkley Point C!
I am recruiting for an experienced Section Engineer with experience of working on Reinforced Concrete (RC) projects for a new phase of work at Hinkley Point C.

The role will involve the coordination of a team to produce Technical Reports and CAD Drawings in connection with the accurate location of rebar within RC structures at HPC. Specific accountabilities for this role include:
• Coordinating all works relating to the scanning of rebar depth and position.
• Providing technical advice analysis of rebar position/depth reports and on concrete condition.
• Being responsible for the creation of workflows to support RFIs raised for potential clashes
• Ensure the integration, technical assurance, compliance, health, safety of post installed equipment to enable compliant defect free handover.
• Coordinate with the Principle Designer and Principle Contractor teams to ensure regular flow of information to comply with meeting the requirements of CDM.
• Holding responsibility for the implementation, and development of RAMS and procedures for all works relating to the installation of post installed anchor plates and equipment.
• Interrogation of 3D model and Information Modelling.
• Support the Engineering Lead and contribute to design / construction reviews.
• Liaise with the Survey and Building Leads in relation to work flow.
• Maintain personal expertise and knowledge to ensure that the business stream is at the forefront of the industry both technically and in using the latest technologies and standards

To be considered for this role I am ideally looking for a qualified Civil Engineer who has operated as Section Engineer on RC projects. The successful candidate will need to be proficient in the use of 2D and 3D AutoCad and with the interrogation of 3D models and knowledge of drawing revision and issuing protocols. They will also be a team player with effective planning and time management skills. The ability to gain clearance to work at HPC is a must.
