Employment Type: Permanent, Full Time

Hours of Work: 45 hrs/week

Required Certifications: CSCS card, Temporary Works Supervisor

Experience Level: Mid to Senior Level

Key Responsibilities:

Health, Safety & Environment:

Establish safe working cultures and practices.
Ensure compliance with company procedures and legal obligations.
Promote and comply with environmental compliance.
Deliver the works safely.

Quality:

Promote best practices in project execution.
Ensure compliance with company procedures.
Deliver work defect/snag free.
Identify and highlight value engineering opportunities.

Section Engineer:

Establish level and survey control for contracts.
Set out detailed works according to contract drawings, with regular checks.
Maintain accurate records in compliance with organizational and legal requirements.
Resolve unexpected technical difficulties and other problems.
Produce procurement schedules, liaise with procurement department for resource allocation.
Produce Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) and Task Briefings.
Develop 2-week look ahead plans in conjunction with the Site Agent.
Generate Site Diaries and Allocation Sheets.

Key Measures & Targets:

Accurate and timely setting out of works.
Timely handover of works and Quality records without outstanding defects.
Production of accurate records, drawing registers, and weekly diaries.

Key Relationships:

Develop positive working relations

Essential:

Previous experience in setting out on civil engineering projects.
Experience in deep water Infra Civil Engineering, including deep and trenchless drainage.
Competent in the management of Temporary works.
Sound knowledge of construction methods, health and safety, and legal regulations.
Fully conversant with the use of robotic total station or EDM instruments.
Degree qualified/HNC (or equivalent) in civil engineering.
Excellent communication skills.
Competent in management of information controls and Request for Information (RFI) process to consultant.
Self-driven, results-oriented with a positive outlook.
CSCS, SMSTS, Temporary Works Supervisor/Coordinator.

Desirable:

Experience in using AutoCAD and MS Office.
MEICA experience.
Underground service detection.
Lifting Appointed person.
NRSWA Supervisor.
Confined spaces Medium Risk.
Temporary works co-ordination.
Cable avoidance training.
First aid training.
NEBOSH or IOSH.

Additional Requirements:

Clean and foul water projects experience.
Attention to details.
Setting out skills.
Pipejacking and shaft sinking experience will be beneficial but not essential.
Good knowledge and experience in using AutoCAD and Microsoft 365.
