About the role:
Our client are now looking for an individual to join their Factory 2 team as an R&D Engineer. This role will be to work with the technical Research & Development team, suppliers & academics to develop new technologies. Supervising the product testing regime for the new products coming through R&D.
The Role
- Ensure the effective development of new technologies and products with regard to the modules, their manufacture and erection with an emphasis on those things being implemented in the next 12 – 36 months.
- Work with suppliers, consultants, academics and TopHat colleagues on the development of new technical concepts.
- To support the digital team in their development of the new businesses’ design systems.
- To follow, contribute and promote TopHat Health, Safety, Environmental Quality.
Do you fit the bill?
- Experience of developing new products/systems and especially bringing them to fruition
- Be confident at understanding technical drawings
- Excellent IT skills and knowledge
- Excellent CAD skills
- A strong attention to detail
- A passion for innovation and new ideas
- Can take initiative
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Strong numerical, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Sound data driven decision making skills
- Ability to self-motivate against demanding targets and tight deadlines
- Is not knocked off balance by ambiguity uncertainty and change
- Good interpersonal and team leadership skills
