Our client is a technology-enabled manufacturer of volumetric modular homes. They have a dedicated advanced manufacturing facility located in Foston, Derbyshire, with an impressive footprint. They are currently investing in a second factory ("F2") that will have a significant production capacity.
They are seeking a highly motivated R&D Engineer to join their Factory 2 team. In this role, you will collaborate with their technical Research & Development team, suppliers, and academics to drive the development of new technologies. You will also be responsible for supervising the product testing process for new products coming through R&D.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the effective development of new technologies and products related to modules, their manufacture, and erection, with a focus on implementation within the next 12-36 months.
- Collaborate with suppliers, consultants, academics, and colleagues to explore and develop new technical concepts.
- Support the digital team in the development of our design systems.
- Follow, contribute to, and promote health, safety, and environmental quality standards.
Qualifications:
- Experience in developing new products/systems and bringing them to fruition.
- Proficiency in understanding technical drawings.
- Excellent IT and CAD skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
