Quantity Surveyor / Senior Quantity Surveyor - Commercial fit out projects
This role will have full responsibility for monitoring and working on projects, ensuring that they are completed within budget. The role will involve overseeing all commercial aspects of one or more projects, collaborating with senior colleagues and liaising with the client
The client
A well-established, mulity award winning Commercial / office Fit-Out Contractor based in the Manchester area. They are seeking a Project level or Senior Quantity Surveyor for Commercial fit out project. You will be required to be on site 2/3 days a week the sites are all over the UK.
Duties
Validation of all tender and construction budgets to ensure compliance to agreed margins
Monitoring project costs and reporting on comparatives
Meeting regularly with clients to review commercial matters
Assessment and agreement of sub-contractor and supplier applications
Prepare and submit interim applications, site record sheets, variations and final accounts
Actively manage dispute resolution and claims should they arise
Responsibility of monthly CVR reporting internally to Commercial Director
All cost reporting - schedule of rates, involving labour and material costs, bills of quants, cost estimates, final accounts, CVR, valuation applications, invoicing.
Perform weekly project reviews and with directors as requested
Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule and costs.
Undertake risk, value management and cost control
Responsible for project timescales, flawless delivery and achieving efficiency to ensure profitability within the agreed price.
Analyse and prepare tenders
Build and maintain close relationships with the Contract Management teams
The candidate
Fit out / refurbishment project experience
Willing to travel
All applicants will have a relevant degree - BSc Quantity Surveying/Commercial Management or equivalent experience/memberships
Relevant project experience - Commercial fit out and refurbishments
Salary and Package
£40,000 - £65,000
