A Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor is being sought to join a leading civil engineering and construction company in South Wales on a permanent basis. The company in question have excellent long term work ahead of them and offer a market leading benefits package including excellent car allowance, pension and bonuses. You will be working in the water sector and be part of a team delivering a long term framework for a key client.

Your role involves:

Reporting on the financial and contractual status of works packages. This will be done by way of carrying out monthly cost to completes, material reconciliations, identifying changes and raising EWN’s in compliance with the Client change control procedure.
Responsible for managing some major Sub-contract packages on a pipeline and reservoir Contract.

You will be required to:
Prepare subcontract tender packages.
Carry out comparisons and place Subcontract Orders.
You will also manage these packages including valuing of the works and making applications for payment; identifying, valuing and agreeing variations and final accounts with them.
Be familiar with NEC target cost contracts.
Be able to manage client budgets.

Previous experience in the civil engineering or process industries
Previously worked in a Quantity Surveying capacity
Hold a formal qualification in Quantity Surveying or construction, ideally a degree
Be driven, enthusiastic and a positive attitude
